Practice management solutions provider Aiwyn announced Aiwyn Tax is now part of Anthropic's Claude "Connector" ecosystem. On a practical level, it allows teams to run simple 1040 calculations, test tax scenarios and "what-if" cases, generate PDFs of completed return forms, and explore how AI can support tax-related work. Firms should be thoughtful about if and how they use real client data in the current version. Because the Connector runs inside Claude, they recommend treating it like any external system and starting with anonymized or representative data in line with the firm's data governance policies.

Meanwhile, small-business accounting platform Xero also announced an agreement with Anthropic that will bring Claude's AI directly into Xero — and Xero's financial data and tools into Claude.ai. It's the first time Xero customers will be able to work with their financial data directly inside a major AI platform, and a new way for Claude to power end-to-end financial workflows for small businesses at scale.
