Los Angeles (May 24, 2002) -- Ernst & Young this week signed agreements to hire 100 Arthur Andersen professionals and staff, bolstering its media, entertainment and hospitality, financial services, and tax practices in the Pacific Southwest.
The deal includes nine partners of Andersen's Los Angeles, Denver, Phoenix, and San Diego practices. E&Y said close to 80 of the new hires will be located in Los Angeles. The integration of former Andersen employees will begin immediately.Ernst & Young's Pacific Southwest region serves clients throughout Southern California, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, and New Mexico.
Earlier this month, E&Y scooped up Andersen partners and professionals in the firm's Nashville and Louisville offices, and its from its Chesapeake practice, which includes offices in Baltimore and in Richmond and Vienna, Va.
