RSM Classic golf tournament raises over $4.6M for charity

Top Five Firm RSM US announced that its 11th annual RSM Classic PGA Tour event — held from Nov. 19 – 22, 2020, at the Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia’s Golden Isles — raised $4,608,566 for children- and family-focused charity organizations.

The annual tournament has now raised more than $22.2 million for charity since its inception in 2010.

“The RSM Classic has become a part of our firm’s history, giving us an opportunity to spend quality time with key clients, colleagues and friends in a beautiful setting, while giving back to the 87 communities across the country and in Canada where our 13,000+ people live and work,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO of RSM US, in a statement. “While the pandemic meant that we were unable to come together in person for this year’s tournament, we developed some innovative ways to engage with our fans virtually, while keeping the tournament’s focus on stewardship squarely at the center of the event.”

Charitable donations raised through the RSM Classic are distributed by the RSM US Foundation and the Davis Love Foundation, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that manages the RSM Classic tournament. Established in 2005, the Davis Love Foundation was founded by professional golfer and Team RSM member Davis Love III and his wife Robin.

"The team at the Davis Love Foundation is humbled to be able to help make a difference in the lives of children and families through the funds raised by the RSM Classic,” said Davis Love III in a statement. “It’s a privilege to support the PGA Tour's tradition of charitable giving through this event, which is our foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, and which takes place at our home of Sea Island each November.”

The 2021 RSM Classic is scheduled for Nov. 15 – 21, 2021, at the Sea Island Golf Club. More information is available here.
