Accounting Students Start Used Books Site

Two accounting students have launched a used books site to combat the rising prices of textbooks.

The site, halfcollegebooks.com, was founded by Justin Tomevi and Ryan Ward, a pair of accounting and finance majors at Eastern State University near Philadelphia. They came up with the idea for the site while they were studying for an accounting test.

The site carries discounted textbooks in areas such as accounting, business, statistics, math, science and teaching. It also sells a selection of bestselling novels, DVDs, CDs and video games.

The students' professors mentored them while they created the site and provided both constructive criticism and encouragement.
