AccountMate announced a new partnership with Avalara to integrate the cloud-based sales and transactional tax solutions provider’s SaaS sales tax management into its own application.

Specifically, the business accounting software provider integrated Avalara’s AvaTax capabilities into AccountMate’s existing workflow to automatically calculate the final sales tax amount on every invoice, streamlining the calculation of taxes across multiple jurisdictions.

“We’re pleased to join forces with Avalara, a recognized leader in cloud-based sales tax compliance automation,” stated David Dierke, AccountMate CEO. “Our partnership will enable our clients to easily manage and remain up-to-date on increasingly complicated tax regulations, allowing them to focus on their primary expertise.”

In addition to cloud-based sales tax calculations, AccountMate customers will now also have access to Avalara’s returns and remittance, exemption certificate management, and deep content in the areas of fuel, retail and value-added tax.

“We recognize the value AccountMate brings to its clients, and we are pleased to augment their offerings with our comprehensive compliance solutions,” stated Pascal Van Dooren, chief revenue officer at Avalara. “In today’s digital world it just doesn’t make sense to manually manage sales tax, and we’re convinced all sales and use tax will be automated in the coming years.”
