AccountMate Unveils Version 6.5

San Francisco (March 19, 2004) -- AccountMate, a provider of source code modifiable software, has released AccountMate 6.5, which includes a new interface with enhanced productivity tools.

Accountmate 6.5 is available in two versions. For smaller businesses with up to five users, AccountMate 6.5 uses the Microsoft Data Engine to provide SQL-level performance without the cost of an SQL license. Pricing starts at $8,900. For larger businesses, AccountMate 6.5 SQL is designed for hundreds of users and larger transaction volumes. Pricing starts at $17,500.

Both versions have the same look and number of modules. Features include an error reporting function that lets customers send error reports to both their AccountMate reseller and to AccountMate technical support, and a revamped Lookup function, which allows users to define the different views of each lookup and flag each view as personal or public use. A Shortcut Pane permits each user to define frequently used function and application shortcuts.

“The new Lookup, the Shortcut Pane, and the Power Toolbar combine to improve both the ease of use and efficiency throughout AccountMate, which has been readily recognized and welcomed enthusiastically by all of our clients,” says Joe Manci, AccountMate reseller with Tamlin Software Developers.

Gerard Danos, customer and president of Dixie Iron Works, agrees, “The user interface improvements are incredible. Our salesmen can now search customer information easily ‘on the fly,’ thus allowing us to drive towards same-call order entry and quoting. This is a huge advantage in an industry where the norm is to call the customer back the next day with quote information.”
