Accume Partners, a provider of internal auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and risk management services, has named former UHY Advisors chief executive James B. McGuire as its president and chief operating officer.
In that role, McGuire will assume day-to-day management responsibility for all company operations. He will report to John F. White, who will continue as chief executive.
McGuire spent several years heading UHY Advisors, the accounting firm consolidator formerly known as Centerprise.
Prior to that, he spent roughly 20 years with the consulting unit of Big Four firm KPMG eventually assuming the reins of the unit's U.S. division and subsequently responsibility for worldwide operations. McGuire also helped the consulting entity go public in 2001, which later rechristened itself BearingPoint.
