Acumatica releases migration software for defecting Sage customers

Acumatica, which makes finance and accounting software, has released its Cloud migration Suite for Sage 100 (formerly MAS 90 and MAS 200) applications to help customers who leave Sage migrate all their data onto the Acumatica platform.

The Migration Suite, which is free to use, is currently in a preview release. Acumatica will perform an initial analysis for customers wishing to migrate, followed by a detailed conversion about going live which can be done in the company’s labs or directly by a local VAR partner.

The Acumatica Cloud Migration Suite works by moving master data across history and transactions. Base company and AP/AR/GL configurations are also migrated, as well as account structure and chart of accounts and subaccounts, which are segments in Sage 100. The suite also includes additional data fields such as customer and vendor information, warehouses and locations, and full inventory information.

Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill said in a statement that the suite is designed to help customers migrate in a "simple, streamlined way.”

The Migration Suite is built on a framework that company officials say can be applied to other legacy ERP products and platforms in the near future.
