AICPA Adds Four Members to Auditing Board

The American Institute of CPAs has appointed four new members of the Auditing Standards Board.

The board develops auditing, attestation and quality control standards for non-public audit engagements. The four new members are Ernest F. Baugh, Jr., national director of professional standards for Mayer Hoffman McCann, in Chattanooga; Thomas A. Ratcliffe, director of accounting and auditing for Wilson Price in Montgomery, Ala.; Mark H. Taylor, an accounting professor at Creighton University in Omaha; and Phil D. Wedemeyer, a partner with the national professional standards group of Grant Thornton in Houston.

“The incoming board members will be invaluable assets to the committee,” said ASB Chairman Harold L. Monk, Jr., in a statement. “Their combined experience in auditing and corporate governance will greatly enhance the ASB’s work.”
