Sacramento (Sept. 8, 2003) -- High-volume Microsoft reseller Altara said it has acquired the Microsoft Business Solutions practice from Kansas City, Mo.-based ByteWorks Computer Consulting for undisclosed terms.
Under the sale pact, Altara -- represented by personnel from ByteWorks in a new Kansas City office -- will focus on providing Microsoft Business Solutions including Great Plains, Solomon, Axapta, and Microsoft Customer Relationship Management to middle-market companies in the Kansas City region.
In a statement, Michael Wetter, president of the six-year-old ByteWorks said, “Our decision to become part of Altara was driven by our desire to provide our customers with a broader offering of products and services.”
With the acquisition, Altara now has over 90 professionals in nine office locations, and over 800 customers.
