A long-established player in local search, AroundMe is integrated with enough of the big location-based data providers to make that experience seamless.
The app works with Booking.com, Opentable.com and FourSquare, among others, to expedite the search process. AroundMe finds a user’s location so that they can find the nearest business in any category, then map out the distance and a route to get there.
Taking it a step above other mapping services, the app also uses augmented reality technology and supports external GPS like Navigon MobileNavigator, TomTom and MotionX-PS Drive.
