MGA adds $18.7 million in revenue, seven partners and roughly 60 employees to Ascend's platform. Its tax and advisory services business will operate as Miller Grossbard Advisors, and its attest services will operate as MGA Assurance. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

MGA is an accounting and advisory firm in Houston that serves clients across industries such as real estate, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, oil and gas, technology, and financial services. It has been named as an Accounting Today 2026 Best Firm to Work For.

"We were looking for a partner who would invest in MGA without changing what makes us who we are," MGA partner Brian Miller said in a statement. "Ascend keeps our name, our team and our client decisions here in Houston, and gives us the resources to be here for the next 35 years. What Ascend adds is the technology, talent and national reach behind them. We have spent three decades telling clients to look forward instead of in the rearview mirror. This is us taking our own advice."

"Innovation has always been part of MGA's success in Houston," Jamie Billings, Ascend's head of platform M&A, said in a statement. "We felt that entrepreneurial spirit from our earliest conversations, along with a deep commitment to client service and to building one of the best places to grow a career in public accounting."
