AuditWatch Unveils SOX 404 Workshop

Herndon, Va. (Jan. 26, 2004) -- AuditWatch Inc., a training and consulting firm to the auditing community, based here, has partnered with author and consultant Michael Ramos to produce an interactive workshop that assists companies and accounting firms in compliance with Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley.

The case study-based workshop, available now, is designed to help participants understand and apply the requirements and methodologies to assess internal controls. Ramos developed the materials from his book, How to Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404: Assessing the Effectiveness of Internal Control.

AuditWatch will be the exclusive provider of training for the workshop, according to AuditWatch president Joseph “Bo” Fitzpatrick. The program, which took roughly seven months to develop, was pilot-tested by 50 members from various regional CPA firms, including Plante & Moran, BKD, Cherry Bekaert & Holland, Clifton Gunderson, Frank Rimmerman & Co., and Moss Adams.
