Avalara Reveals New Sales Tax Software

Avalara, a Web-service based sales tax software provider, revealed their latest sales tax software - AvaTax On-Demand.

AvaTax is an online sales-and-use tax system calculating sales-and-use tax from any of the 8,000 U.S. taxing jurisdiction and inputting them into a users' enterprise resource planning software. The new on-demand version is set up with a Web service software development kit containing an adaptor to integrate AvaTax with any e-commerce, third-party or custom-built ERP solution.

"For developers working in a Microsoft .Net or .Com-compliant language, the adaptor would eliminate the work of building, reading or  transforming data into SOAP messaging," said Ranjit Mulgaonkar, vice president of business development and product management for Avalara. "There is no hands-on SOAP whatsoever. In addition developers not working in a .Net or Com-compliant language can interact with service directly."

Out of the box, AvaTax already integrates with Sage's MAS 90 and 200 ERP systems, Accpac Advantage Series and Miscrosoft's Great Plains, Navision, and Small Business Financials, among others.
