BAASS Merges in Plus Computer Solutions

Sage software value-added reseller BAASS Business Solutions announced a merger with British Columbia VAR Plus Computer Solutions to operate in an expanded capacity as BAASS Business Solutions BC Inc.

"The addition of Plus to the BAASS team accomplishes our strategic goal of providing customers with the best resources, expertise and quality business software available," stated Joe Arnone, principal of BAASS Business Solutions, which specializes in Sage’s solutions for small and medium-sized businesses in accounting, CRM, business intelligence, HR and warehouse management. "Our customers will benefit from having one of the most experienced teams of specialists in the channel."

In addition to the merged companies bolstering their Sage channel by folding in Plus Computer's specialization in Sage 300 ERP, CRM, HRMS and Fixed Assets, BAASS will take on the consultant's Intacct cloud accounting and financial management practice.

BAASS, with $19.5 million in 2014 revenue, was named a 2014 Accounting Technology Pacesetter. Plus Computer Solutions reported $2.7 million in revenue last year. Both companies are members of technology organizations the Strategic Leadership Association and the Information Technology Alliance.

"The principals at BAASS and Plus Computer Solutions Ltd. have a long-term business relationship," Arnone stated, referring to Plus Computer Solutions principals Wendy Gorrie and Glen Mund, who will both transition to vice president roles. "At BAASS, we have an incredible amount of respect for the Plus team and the leadership that Glen and Wendy have supplied both for the internal team at Plus and their valued customers."

"They will continue in their current role in British Columbia while working with the bigger BAASS team. As well, they will have additional responsibilities and roles within the bigger BAASS Group. I look forward to working more closely with them and know they will provide a great contribution and leadership  to the expanded team."

Both companies will retain their current staff and office locations, including BAASS headquarters in Vancouver and Miami and Plus's two British Columbia offices.

"BAASS is an exceptional fit for us and our clients as we continue to grow the business," stated Mund. "It’s the same people, location and great service, but with a new name and even more value. Clients will benefit from extended business hours and additional access to business intelligence, CRM, warehouse management and ERP experts."

"Our goal is to offer our customers a global reach with local attentiveness," stated Gorrie.
