Baker Tilly releases revenue cycle analytics software for health care industry

Chicago-based firm Baker Tilly has released new analytics software for health care organizations, developed in partnership with Tableau Software.

The software, dubbed Advanced Revenue Cycle, uses artificial intelligence tools, which are becoming inseparable from analytics today. Natural language generation features create readable reports in English from raw data, saving time.

In addition to natural language generation, ARC’s scan function performs data normalization, organizing the data into readable tables and establishing relationships between data so the organization can act on the information presented.

Baker Tilly already has experience serving the health care industry, so the firm is leveraging these tech tools along with its expertise to improve the revenue cycle for health care organizations.

Overall, ARC is designed to give health care organizations the ability to track operational trends and dig into the underlying financial performance opportunities. This view of operations is designed to help find issues, identify the source of the issue, determine changes to the process to make corrections and track that same data over time to see that improvements are made.

“Tableau is a powerful analytics tool, and with Baker Tilly’s healthcare Value Architects applying ARC Scan to healthcare organizations’ data, it can become a key vehicle to attaining financial sustainability for healthcare providers,” Michael Duke, a principal with Baker Tilly’s health care practice, said in a statement.
