Bennett Thrasher Promotes Five to Partner

Bennett Thrasher LLP has appointed five to partner throughout the firm. New partners includes:

[IMGCAP(1)] Christopher Benner who was promoted to tax partner in the firm’s personal financial services practice. He has experience providing comprehensive financial planning advice to small business owners, attorneys, corporate executives and other high-net-worth individuals. Benner is a Certified Financial Planner. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and is a member of the Personal Financial Planning Section of the AICPA. Benner is also a member of the Georgia State University Financial Planning Alumni Association.

[IMGCAP(2)] Matthew Grosvenor was promoted to financial reporting and assurance partner in the firm’s health care practice. He has 17 years of experience working with hospital systems and other health care providers, and most recently served as the system controller for one of the largest hospital systems in Atlanta. Grosvenor received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs.

[IMGCAP(3)] Timothy Oberst was promoted to tax partner in Bennett Thrasher’s manufacturing and distribution practice. For more than 10 years, he has coordinated income tax engagements for closely-held corporations, partnerships, not-for-profit organizations and individuals. He has significant experience in corporate, partnership, estate, gift and trust taxation, serving public charities and private foundations and tax research. Oberst is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the AICPA.

[IMGCAP(4)] Rick Rosell was promoted to tax partner in the firm’s manufacturing and distribution practice. He has provided advisory and compliance services for more than 10 years. He has broad experience with corporate taxation, specializing in tax compliance and FAS 109/Income tax provision preparation and review. Additionally, Rosell works with clients regarding individual, partnership and S-corporation taxation matters. Rosell is a licensed CPA in Georgia and North Carolina. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the AICPA.

[IMGCAP(5)] Timothy Watt was promoted to tax partner in the firm’s real estate and international practice. He has more than 12 years of experience focusing on complex tax consulting and compliance engagements for domestic investors, developers, contractors, managers and other closely-held real estate concerns. Watt is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
