Bill.com Integrates with Sage Peachtree Software

Cloud-based bill payment technology provider Bill.com has released a beta version of its integration capabilities with Sage’s Peachtree, which coincides with Sage announcing plans to discontinue its Peachtree Web Accounting Service on Nov. 30.

The service aims to streamline bookkeeping from bill submission through payment, enabling users to synchronize vendors and chart of accounts between Bill.com and Sage Peachtree with one click.

Bills and payments made within Bill.com are synced back to Peachtree. The combination of Bill.com’s Web services and Peachtree’s desktop software is designed to eliminate duplicate data entry, as well as supporting accounting firms with multiple clients utilizing separate data files.

Throughout the process, users can also instantly view digital images of past invoices and contracts and can schedule invoices for payment based on due dates and cash flow projections.

“We’re delighted to be working with Bill.com, members of our Development Partner Program for Peachtree,” said Connie Certusi, general manager of Sage Business Solutions’ Small Business Accounting Solutions business unit. “With their help, we’re able to deliver this new connected service to our Sage Peachtree customers; streamlining their processes and enabling accounting firms to better serve their clients.”

The Bill.com Peachtree Sync Beta is available immediately, with general release expected in Q1 2011. The feature is free with any Bill.com account.
