Blackbaud Names Chardon President, CEO

Nonprofit software publisher Blackbaud Inc. has named former Microsoft executive Marc Chardon as president and chief executive of the software concern, which is headquartered here.

Chardon, who will officially begin Nov. 28, succeeds long-time president Robert J. Sywolski. Chardon currently serves as chief financial officer at Microsoft's information worker business, a post he has held since 2003.

Sywolski's contract expires in March 2006.
