Blackman Kallick Appoints New Managing Partner

Accounting firm Blackman Kallick has named a new managing partner, Steven Schneider.

He will succeed Daniel Fensin on Jan. 1, 2008. Fensin held the position for 17 years and will remain a partner until he retires in Dec. 2008. Both Schneider and Fensin will serve as co-managing partners through 2007.

Schneider, 58, joined Blackman Kallick in 1981 and has served on the management committee and as partner-in-charge of marketing. He will continue to serve as engagement partner for many clients at the firm.

Schneider is a 30-year accounting and auditing veteran who works with clients in the private equity, service, manufacturing and distribution industries. He advises them on issues such as buying and selling companies, organizational matters, and ownership succession. Schneider is also an active member in HLB International, Blackman Kallick's worldwide affiliate firm network.
