BlumShapiro Hires Lang as Partner

Peter Lang has joined BlumShapiro as a partner in its consulting practice in Newton, Mass.

Lang is experienced in manufacturing operations, information systems and technology deployment, performance management, business transformation and organizational change, among other areas.

“With his extensive background, Peter is well positioned to play an integral role in growing BlumShapiro’s management and operation consulting practice in the Boston area,” BlumShapiro’s executive managing partner Carl Johnson said in a statement.

Prior to BlumShapiro Lang worked as the Director of Business Development at Protégé Software, an Oracle Implementation professional services firm in Woburn, Massachusetts. In this role, he managed and directed a $12 million consulting business unit, which he grew from $3 million. Additionally, Lang has directed internal and external teams in complex solutions employing supply chain management, business intelligence, customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning and eCommerce strategy. He has also worked at IBM, Grant Thornton and Andersen Consulting (Accenture).

Lang is a member of the Boston Society for Information Management and the American Production and Inventory Control Society. He graduated from Wittenburg University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree, and from the University Of Hartford Barney School Of Business, where he earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance.
