BNA Offers BlackBerry Tax Reference App

BNA Tax & Accounting has introduced its first application for the RIM BlackBerry, an electronic version of its Quick Tax Reference guide.

The BNA Quick Tax Reference App for the BlackBerry is a follow-up to a similar app released for the Apple iPhone in April (see BNA Offers Tax Reference iPhone App). BNA said the iPhone app has been downloaded by users across the globe, including in Europe, China and India.

"We've received a great deal of positive feedback for our Quick Tax Reference iPhone app and subsequently many requests for a BlackBerry version," says BNA Tax & Accounting executive editor George Farrah in a statement. "This BlackBerry app gives practitioners tax rates for multiple years: 2007 to 2010, and does basic calculations of individuals' taxes based on their filing status."

The Quick Tax Reference is available for download to the BlackBerry and iPhone by visiting http://www.bnatax.com/quick-tax-reference-app/. A Google Android version is currently in development and should be available by late summer.
