BNA Offers State Tax Nexus Research Tool

BNA Tax & Accounting has introduced State Tax Nexus Evaluator, a research product that helps businesses and practitioners determine income tax nexus for 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

“Not only can you analyze existing business activities, but you can also review potential scenario implications for different business activities in multiple states and advise a client or your own business on whether nexus will exist or not,” said BNA Tax & Accounting executive editor George Farrah in a statement.

The tool features 10 major corporate business activity categories, each containing a series of questions about specific activities. The State Tax Nexus Evaluator provides a detailed report by state that explains whether nexus may exist.

State Tax Nexus Evaluator helps select multiple states and activities to build a nexus comparison chart showing which states and activities create nexus. Users can evaluate multiple years to see how state positions on nexus issues have changed from year to year and how a company could be affected.
