Bonadio Group, Fiddler & Co. Unveil Merger

Regional CPA and business advisory firm The Bonadio Group, headquartered here, has agreed to merge with Buffalo-based Fiddler & Co., one of upstate New York's oldest firms, in a union that will be effective in December.
Financial terms were not disclosed.

Going forward, the consolidated firm will operate under the Bonadio Group brand. The merger will add roughly $2 million in revenue to Bonadio, which generates annual revenue of about $20 million.

Fiddler & Co. partners Joseph DiMatteo and Glenn E. Wiggle will join The Bonadio Group as partners, and James T. Keefe will become partner in charge of accounting and tax services in Bonadio's Buffalo location. In addition, 30 Fiddler employees will be added to that branch.

"We were looking to have a better relationship with the Bufffalo community, and trying to grow organically wasn't going to work as well as merging with an established and well-respected firm," Bonadio director of marketing Alan Vitberg told WebCPA.

Fiddler & Co. was founded in 1956 and has client niches in tax planning and preparation, auditing, personal financial planning, financing, and acquisitions.
