Sage North America partner BrainSell Technologies continued its acquisition growth plans with the purchase of Soft Intelligence Inc., a Roswell, Ga.-based point of sale and enterprise resource planning reseller.
The transaction will bring approximately 30 Sage Accpac customers into BrainSell’s existing accounting and ERP business, which includes Sage Accpac; MAS 90, 200, and 500; BusinessWorks; Peachtree Quantum; FAS; Ross Enterprise; QuickBooks Enterprise; and Acumatica. Soft Intelligence president Joe Masarek will continue to oversee the firm’s POS business.
“We have been on the acquisition path since 2008, starting with CRM and moving into ERP with MAS 90 and eventually Accpac businesses,” said BrainSell president Jim Ward. “[Soft Intelligence] had a small ERP practice with Accpac, but they are a long-established POS player and Joe [Masarek] will continue to oversee that side of the business. My goal is to be able to provide complete business technology solutions, and we anticipate growing nationally through acquisition and organically.”
BrainSell has offices in Massachusetts, Georgia, and Virginia, as well as affiliates in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio and Florida.
