The election was announced at the recent Praxity North American Managing Partner meeting in Detroit.  Byrne’s election marks the first time a non-managing partner has held this position.

“It’s quite an honor to be elected as chairperson of Praxity North America,” she said in a statement. “I look forward to working with the respected managing partners of each North American member firm. My goal is to further the already proud tradition of Praxity service to transnational businesses.”

Praxity, AISBL, is a global alliance of independent accounting firms. Praxity has 109 participating firms in 72 countries with nearly 25,000 personnel and a combined fee income of nearly $3.2 billion dollars. Its administrative office is located in London.
