Cabinet NG Adds Web-based Document Workflow

Document management and workflow software provider Cabinet NG has introduced a Web browser interface that gives users the ability to search through online cabinets and folders, and view documents from any location anytime, without installing additional software on remote systems.

Version 6.2 of CNG-WEB now supports rules-based and manual routing of documents and allows users to view a document’s workflow history. A new trace function lets users immediately know the status and progress of any document’s workflow, even if a user is not part of the workflow. In addition, CNG-WEB now remembers where users were in the system during a previous session and returns them to that location when they log back in.

“The need for anywhere/anytime [access] is becoming a business necessity,” said Cabinet NG president Andrew Bailey. “Embracing the Web with CNG technology is an exciting way for us to help our customers accomplish their goals from these new business environments.”
