CalCPA Education Foundation Elects President

Barbara Rosenbaum has been elected president of the California Society of CPAs Education Foundation for 2013-14 .

Addressing CalCPA's leaders during the annual meeting of the CalCPA Council, Rosenbaum, a shareholder and senior vice president at Gumbiner Savett Inc., Santa Monica, said that the foundation will look for "new ways of delivering value" to CPAs, including incorporating more online classes into its offerings.

Rosenbaum noted that the foundation's vision is to be "the leading provider of continuing professional education for CPAs and financial professionals."

In a statement, Rosenbaum indicated that during the coming year the foundation will focus on increasing outreach to members and other financial professionals, improve and expand the quality of products and services, collaborate closely with CalCPA on cross-marketing and cross-selling, and creating more partnerships with other CPE providers and with other state CPA societies.

Rosenbaum has more than 30 years of experience as a tax expert. In addition to being a certified public accountant, she is a certified valuation analyst.
