CalCPA Names New COO

The California Society of CPAs and the California CPA Education Foundation have named Clar Rosso as their chief operating officer.

Rosso previously was CalCPA’s division director, programs and communications.

"Clar has consistently shown her abilities to lead, not only within CalCPA but also within the greater community of CPAs,” said CalCPA CEO Loretta Doon. “Her efforts have helped us to grow into an organization of 35,000 members and to expand our financial literacy activities. Both her co-workers and our members rely on her knowledge. I am pleased that she has eagerly accepted her new responsibilities."

“I look forward to working with Loretta, the CalCPA and Foundation staffs, our leadership and all of our members to promote the interests of the CPA profession and to reach out to the public to show how CPAs can help them achieve their financial goals,” said Rosso.

Rosso holds a master's degree from San Francisco State University and a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis.

The California Society of CPAs and the California CPA Education Foundation are separate entities overseen by one chief executive officer. As chief operating officer, Rosso will work with both entities.
