Nicholas Canitano has joined the federal tax practice of KPMG LLP as a managing director.
Canitano joins the firm from another Big Four firm, where he oversaw various tax compliance and consulting engagements, with a particular focus on consolidated tax returns, partnerships, and ASC 740 calculations for large and midsized companies in the manufacturing, chemical, distribution and service industries, among others. He also served as a member of the firm's regional ASC 740 competency team and frequently consulted on complex tax provision issues for clients.
Canitano holds a Master's in Taxation from the University of Akron, as well as a BS in Finance and an MAcc, with an emphasis in taxation, from Miami University.
