CBiz Buys Colorado CPA Firm, IP Company

Cleveland (June 29, 2004) -- CPA firm consolidator Century Business Services Inc. bolstered its presence in Colorado with the acquisition of Denver firm Brockmann, Armour & Co.

CBiz has nine other operations in Colorado, most of which are in and around the Denver area. Brockmann, Armour, a $3 million, 24-employee firm specializing in serving clients in the commercial construction, homebuilding and manufacturing industries, will be merged into CBiz Accounting, Tax & Advisory Services of Colorado.

"CBiz offers the resources and expertise of a national firm with the insights of a local business," Brockmann Armour managing partner John Armour said in a statement. "As CBiz Accounting, Tax & Advisory Services, we will continue to provide a high level of service and attention with the advice our clients need to grow."

In addition, CBiz recently purchased The Cleveland Solutions Group, an implementer of Voice-over-IP solutions and provider of system strategies, enterprise-wide network solutions and full systems deployment and integration. CSG employs approximately 14 people, recorded approximately $3.5 million in annual revenue for the past twelve months and will be merged into CBiz Network Solutions.

"The addition of these two excellent firms is in keeping with our strategy of continuing to build out our service capabilities within our current markets," stated CBiz chairman and chief executive Steven L. Gerard. "CSG will strengthen our current service offerings in the Northeast Ohio market and offer our client's additional IT solutions, especially Voice-over-IP, and Brockman Armour will bolster our already strong accounting practice in Denver as well as strengthen our construction industry specialization which exists nationally within CBiz."
