Cleveland (June 11, 2002) -- Accounting firm rollup outfit Century Business Services has joined the fray of firms bolstering its staff by scooping up Andersen employees. A total of seven Arthur Andersen middle-market professionals, including one partner, have joined CBIZ in its Phoenix, Denver, and St. Louis offices.Len Miller, Senior Vice President of Business Solutions, the group within CBIZ that provides accounting, tax and advisory services, said the firm is interested in hiring additional Andersen employees.
"CBIZ's target market is the small and mid-sized clients, a group that has traditionally been underserved by the Big Five accounting firms," Miller said. "We believe recent changes in the accounting market may make it harder and more expensive for mid-sized companies to get quality service from the larger firms.
