CCH Enhances Workflow and Integration

CCH has released several product updates to provide new workflow and integration features for tax, accounting and auditing professionals.

Among the changes are new integration between CCH KnowledgeConnect and Microsoft SharePoint. For customers who are SharePoint 2010 users, the new plug-in unites the twosystems. KnowledgeConnect complements SharePoint by introducing knowledge management features such as formal Q&A Manager and discussion threads, best practices creation and dissemination, an expert locator, dynamic profiling, communities of practice and business rules and approvals.

The new ProSystem fx Engagement 6.11 system now makes it easier to collaborate with third parties. The latest version of Engagement allows users to share binder portfolios, send files from ProSystem fx Portal to Engagement and also links Engagement and Portal clients together. Enhanced functionality with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Excel formats provides greater efficiency in the management of workpapers. More effective tracking of engagements is also available through integration with ProSystem fx Workstream and with sign-on capability when going between Engagement and the rest of the ProSystem fx Suite. Everything also comes on a new DVD release.

New enhancements in ProSystem fx Knowledge Coach 1.11 allow workpapers to open and refresh faster with typical improvements in speed of up to 25 percent. The updated version also features on-the-fly check-in, check-out and synchronization of workpapers along with streamlined field-functionality through enhanced copy and paste, keyboard shortcut sign-off and more. Knowledge Coach and Engagement also support Microsoft Corp.’s SQL Server 2012 as well as SQL Server 2008.

CCH Accounting Research Manager now has an updated look and feel, starting with new navigation plus enhanced functionality for more efficient research. Users can open documents in separate tabs for easier navigation, bookmark favorite locations to access them upon logging in, access their research history and jump back and forth between documents without losing their place. The new version of ARM also enables text of CCH authored and SEC documents to be forwarded.
