CCH has integrated its CorpSystem Sales Tax Office product with Microsoft Dynamics Nav.
The sales tax application provides real-time address validation and tax calculations based on CCHs proprietary database of rates and taxability rules covering thousands of products and services.
The Sales Tax Office Plug-in for Microsoft Dynamics Nav supports tax calculation calls originated through the following Nav forms: sales quote, sales order, sales invoice, sales credit memo, blanket sales order, sales return order, sales order shipment and sales order invoice.
The plug-in provides SKU upload functionality, allowing for Nav SKUs to be mapped to CCH product group and item categories; and tax area codes at a state level to allow for different posting accounts for each state, as needed. Exemptions are supported at the line level; and a crash recovery mechanism allows recovery in case of failure of any part of the system when tax is being finalized after documents are posted. The plug-in supports more than 3,000 lines on a single order by sending multiple transactions to Sales Tax Office; and there is no interference with the stock tax calculation functionality of Dynamics Nav even though Nav does not normally allow stock tax calculation and external tax calculation on the same purchase order.
