CCH Mobile Update Improves Searches for Tax Research

CCH has upgraded its CCH Mobile app to enable CCH IntelliConnect  users to access, save and send tax research using Apple iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

The enhanced app for IntelliConnect replaces the previous mobile App and makes content searches more convenient.

After downloading the new app, users can access their IntelliConnect research and publications, including Tax Tracker News and IRS Code and Regulations. Additional features enable users to access CCH Mobile alerts to get the latest tax legislation updates, briefings and breaking news.

Keyword searches and additional citation search options are available with the new app. Users can save documents on their mobile devices to research folders and access them later on IntelliConnect.

“Our newest CCH Mobile features and the IntelliConnect Search Express desktop icon are the latest examples of how we leverage customer insights to quickly drive new enhancements that deliver faster answers and better results,” said CCH product manager Tina Rajski in a statement.

IntelliConnect subscribers who have the previous CCH Mobile App on their iPhone, iPad or Android device will automatically be prompted to download the updated app.

For the desktop, a new IntelliConnect Search Express icon offers access to tax research content with a single click. With IntelliConnect Search Express, users no longer need to enter their user ID and password to sign on. It is built into the IntelliConnect sign-on icon that is available through a one-time download to the computer desktop screen. After clicking on the icon, users enter a keyword or citation search topic when the IntelliConnect Search Express box pops up and hit return. Specific information is pulled up from premium content stored in the IntelliConnect research service.

Other recently released IntelliConnect enhancements include a federal tax glossary that helps define terms for practitioners researching new areas. A suggested search expansion feature  increases the number of substantive terms to aid researchers in crafting keyword searches.

Treatment codes from the Federal Citator are now merged directly into the text of the impacted ruling to save time in linking to associated rulings. A new federal tax practice tools node is the latest federal node included in the browse tree and enables users to add federal practice tools to their “favorites” list or search all federal content at once. Users can now extract details and guidance from selected CCH Expert Treatise Library titles with a new Treatise Relate feature.

In addition to the enhanced features of CCH Mobile, users can stay connected to the latest federal and state tax headlines with the CCH Tax News Highlights App. Free downloads are available for iPhone and iPad devices by clicking here and for Android devices by clicking here.
