CCH has debuted
The system enables firms to preserve knowledge in a searchable, re-useable form thats accessible to everyone. Users can ask a question about any tax- or accounting-related matter, and the answers are saved in the knowledge base.
Instead of sending an e-mail to one person and getting an answer thats used once and then perhaps forgotten, only to be asked again by someone else, imagine asking the question in a community context, getting answers that can be discussed, rated, preserved for re-use and flagged for update when a regulation changes, said CCH product manager Wendy Grice. Thats what KnowledgeConnect does. KnowledgeConnect is all about what you know.
The system is intended to save time and keep members of the firm from having to answer repetitive questions from staff members. People can find answers and experts by doing a search.
