Cherry, Bekaert & Holland Expands Tampa Bay Presence

Top-ranked Southeast regional firm Cherry, Bekaert & Holland has expanded its presence in the Tampa Bay market with the addition of Rex Meighen & Co. to its accounting and consulting group.

The addition of Rex Meighen & Co. brings CBH one office, $2.2 million in revenue, four partners and 25 staff, giving the firm a total of 19 offices and a staff of roughly 560 people, including 43 partners.

Rex Meighen & Co. specializes in serving the financial services, health care, construction, nonprofit and agriculture sectors. CBH has niches in state and local government, nonprofits, financial institutions, health care, real estate, construction and government contracting.

CBH has primarily served the Tampa Bay market through its office in St. Petersburg, which has six partners and 30 staff. The firm has additional Florida offices in Orlando and West Palm Beach.

Richmond, Va.-based CBH, which ranked 29th on the 2004 Accounting Today Top 100 Firms list, reported revenue of $58 million for the fiscal year ended in April 2004.
