Cherry, Bekaert & Holland Opens Economy Portal

CPA firm Cherry, Bekaert & Holland has introduced an Economic Recovery Resource Center on its Web site to help individuals and businesses cope with the recession.

The online portal aims to keep clients informed about new developments and help them understand their financial and accounting options during uncertain economic times. The site discusses the implications of the recent stimulus bill, as well as new tax regulations and incentives identified by the firm’s professionals.

The Resource Center is divided into seven sections or blogs that focus on specific personal and business financial concerns as well as industry segments: individuals, small businesses, middle-market businesses, government contracting, governmental, not-for-profit, and real estate and construction.

Visitors to the site can comment, ask questions and subscribe to each of the blogs individually to receive updates via e-mail or a Web-based RSS newsreader. Each blog post can also be shared or bookmarked via a number of popular Web and social media sites.

“This is a challenging economic environment that is having a profound affect on how businesses and individuals manage their finances,” said CB&H managing partner Howard Kies (pictured) in a statement. “The resource center is designed to help them stay abreast of the latest legislative changes, as well as identify opportunities pertinent to their business or personal situation.”
