CliftonLarsonAllen to merge in Reno firm

Top 10 Firm CliftonLarsonAllen continued its tear of mergers by announcing that Reno, Nev.-based The Bosma Group PC will join it effective Jan. 1, 2017.

The combined firm is expected to be among the largest professional services firms in Northern Nevada that focuses exclusively on closely held businesses.

“Business owers in Northern Nevada want and need sophisticated, proactive planning,” said Bosma Group managing shareholder Mike Bosma, in a statement. “CLA has created a platform to better connect business owners and the professionals they need to help achieve the success they desire.”

“Mike and the Bosma team act to help private business owners build a valuable and sustainable business,” said Larry Taylor, incoming chief practice officer at CLA, and current managing partner of Top 100 Firm Gallina, which will also merge with CLA effective Jan. 1. “Together, we strengthen our ability to serve the business community, every step of the way.”

The Bosma Group’s team will continue to serve clients locally and nationally from its Reno office.

The deal is only the latest in a long list of combinations for CLA. in November it announced the merger with Gallina, which has multiple offices in California, Washington, Utah, and Nevada; in August, it announced simultaneous deals with CPWR in Texas and Bray & Co. in Wisconsin; and in July, there were simultaneous deals with Arizona’s Peto & Co., and Washington’s Repanich & Clevenger.
