CohnReznick’s Peterson Inducted into Affordable Housing Hall of Fame

Jeanne Peterson, a director in CohnReznick’s Affordable Housing Industry Practice, was honored during AHF Live: The Affordable Housing Developers’ Summit.

Peterson was among five inductees to Affordable Housing Finance magazine’s 2013 Affordable Housing Hall of Fame. She joins the 33 others who have been inducted since 2006 for their lasting contributions to the affordable housing industry.

Peterson, who is based in CohnReznick’s Sacramento office, was featured in AHF’s October 2013 issue as the “prototype,” leading the way for a better housing credit program. According to AHF, Peterson “set the bar for LIHTC program administration. She was central to a group of housing finance agency leaders who studied and put the tax credit program into action once it was established.” Peterson has overhauled and overseen the LIHTC programs at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, but her reach extends beyond those states to a national level.

“Jeanne has a wonderful knowledge, but it blends with care,” said David Reznick, co-founder of Reznick Group, now CohnReznick LLP. “It’s an interesting blend. It’s care for the tenant, which is very, very important, but she also cares for the developer and wants to make sure the transaction will be successful for all.”
