Practice management services concern Commercial Logic has entered into a U.S. distribution pact with Advanced Professional Solutions Pty Ltd., a global supplier of practice management software and services.
Under the agreement, Commercial Logic will market and resell APS practice management software to CPA firms throughout North America.
"The CPA market is tightly focused and word gets around pretty fast. It¹s our job to make APS and Commercial Logic part of the practice management conversation," Commercial Logic president Peter Coburn told WebCPA. "We liked the fact that everything [APS' practice management suite] comes out of a single database instead of multiple databases trying to talk to one another."
He added that although the company no longer sells the Practice Engine and PowerPM practice management applications, it still supports and maintains the existing user bases.
Headquartered in Australia, where it has penetrated about 70 of the top 100 firms in that country, APS also has locations in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Commercial Logic also has a reseller partnership with content management applications provider Interwoven, which in January was acquired by Autonomy Corp. for $775 million.
