Cougar Mountain Earns 'Gold' from Microsoft

Accounting and finance software developer Cougar Mountain Software has attained Gold Application Development competency from Microsoft.

The distinction indicates “best in class” ability and commitment to Microsoft customers’ evolving needs, and sets partners apart among the top 1 percent of the software giant’s partner ecosystem.

To earn Gold competency, members of a partner’s staff must successfully complete exams to be named Microsoft Certified Professionals, and then be designated uniquely to one Microsoft competency. Partners must also submit customer references demonstrating successful projects; implement a yearly customer satisfaction study; meet a revenue commitment; and pass technology and/or sales assessments.

“This Microsoft Gold Application Development competency showcases our expertise in and commitment to today’s technology market and demonstrates our deep knowledge of Microsoft and its products,” said development group manager Greg Anderson, in a statement. “We plan to accelerate our customers’ success by serving as technology advisors for their business demands.”

“By achieving a gold competency, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Microsoft corporate vice president Phil Sorgen, in a statement. “These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top 1 percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”
