CPA2Biz, the marketing arm of the American Institute of CPAs' products and services, has appointed Joseph Poye to the position of vice president of sales.

Poye, 43, will manage a team of eight sales professionals responsible for selling CPA2Biz’s suite of Trusted Business Advisor Solutions and AICPA Onsite Training to firms and CPAs in government and businesses and industry nationwide. He will continue to build on the sales distribution model already in place with state CPA societies.

Prior to joining CPA2Biz, Poye was a regional manager for LexisNexis, where he managed a large team responsible for selling its legal research, marketing, litigation workflow, and practice management products to law firms. Before LexisNexis, Poye held sales management positions at Global Crossing and MCI Communications Corporation.

“Joe has an extraordinary background in sales management that will be of critical value as we enhance our service offerings to CPAs,” said CPA2Biz CEO Erik Asgeirsson. “We have experienced tremendous growth over the past several years, and Joe’s talent and experience will help tackle the increasing needs of the country’s CPAs and put more structure to our efforts.”

With Poye’s hiring, CPA2Biz has added responsibility for selling AICPA Onsite Training. The new structure has been put in place to capitalize on the many synergies that exist with CPA2Biz’s firm solutions sales activities and to better meet the needs of state societies and AICPA and state society members.
