CPE Link Expands Reach to South Africa

CPE Link is now offering online learning to a global audience through an affiliate agreement with the Accounting Academy of South Africa.

The Accounting Academy provides continuing professional development to the South African accounting community in the form of workshops, seminars, books, and certificate programs. The CPE Link web-based system will now give accountants throughout the country a convenient way to access professional development opportunities wherever they work and live.

San Jose-based CPE Link currently serves many U.S. accountants who are working abroad and need to fulfill their CPE requirements online.

“With this new arrangement with the Accounting Academy of South Africa, our programs are opened up to a whole new global audience,” said CPE Link program director Sue Anderson in a statement. “CPE Link is delighted to extend our reach internationally and help the South Africa Accounting Academy bring the convenience and affordability of online education to its members.”

Accounting Academy users have access to CPE Link on-demand webcasts on corporate finance, staff training, and technology and applications, including Excel and QuickBooks. Initially, Excel seems to be the most popular training topic for the South African group.
