Credit Card Payments for Back Taxes Accepted Back to 1997

Beginning in January, Link2Gov will be able to process credit card payments related to federal business tax Forms 941 and 940 for an expanded number of filing years -- 1997 through present balance due.

The next Form 941 Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return payment is due Oct. 31. Some 941 and 940 tax payments may qualify for payment card rewards programs this cycle, and in addition, the IRS will allow the standard convenience fee to be deducted as a business expense.

Link2Gov is in its fifth year of contracted credit card processing for the IRS. The company also offers automated payment reminders, sent prior to the next Form 941 tax return due date, containing instructions on how to make a Form 941 Employer's Quarterly Tax balance due payment at the Pay1040 site.

Businesses can find more information on the credit-card initiated, balance-due tax payments at www.PAY1040.com, or by calling (888) 729-1040. All major credit cards are accepted.
