Indianapolis (Sept. 12, 2001) -- Large CPA and consulting firm Crowe Chizek & Co. has expanded its governance, risk management and internal audit practice, adding former Andersen audit senior partners Larry Rieger and Rick Julien to lead the unit.Crowe-Chizek said that in addition to bolstering the unit with the addition of Rieger and Julien, its internal audit practice would widen its internal audit scope to a more comprehensive "enterprise-wide" risk approach.
While at Andersen, Rieger had been chosen to co-lead the firm’s audit practice along with C.E. Andrews in an unsuccessful attempt to morph into an audit-centric firm following the Enron debacle.
