Oracle expands NetSuite AI Connector Service

Cloud ERP provider Oracle NetSuite announced the latest additions to NetSuite AI Connector Service, which helps customers connect the AI models of their choice to NetSuite data and apply AI more effectively across their business. The latest additions include NetSuite AI Connector Service Companion, support for the NetSuite Model Context Protocol (MCP) Apps extension, and expanded support for NetSuite Analytics Warehouse.NetSuite AI Connector Service Companion provides access to a curated Prompt Library of more than 100 finance-specific templates;  NetSuite AI Connector Service Companion Skills which provide supported AI models with reusable NetSuite-specific instructions, context, and best practices; and MCP-ready roles provide preconfigured access patterns that map AI capabilities to NetSuite roles such as CFO, Controller, Accounts Receivable Analyst, Accounts Payable Analyst, and Treasury Analyst. Meanwhile, NetSuite MCP Apps extend the NetSuite AI Connector Service lets users to interact with NetSuite data through structured interfaces such as filters, selectors, and forms rendered directly inside popular AI assistants. Examples of MCP Apps include the Prompt Library, Report Picker, and Record Picker. Customers can configure reports, select records, access the Prompt Library, and navigate NetSuite data using structured menus and selectors inside popular AI assistants; use interactive filters, selectors, and parameter menus'; and interact with NetSuite data through supported AI assistants while maintaining governance and role-based access controls. Finally, NetSuite AI Connector Service for NetSuite Analytics Warehouse Extends AI access beyond transactional ERP data in NetSuite to include historical, analytical, and third-party data stored in NetSuite Analytics Warehouse. This enables customers to use AI for broader analytics, forecasting, and cross-system analysis across their business data. The NetSuite AI Connector Service Companion and the NetSuite AI Connector Service for NetSuite Analytics Warehouse are now available in English worldwide, with plans to expand to additional languages. NetSuite MCP Apps are planned for release as part of the MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp and will be available through the SuiteApp Marketplace.

Digits launches mobile app

Automated ledger solutions provider Digits announced the launch of the Digits app for iPhone and iPad. The Digits app gives business owners a live view of their financial position, including cash across all accounts, current profit, payables, and receivables, and lets them act on it immediately. Rather than acting as a companion viewer, the Digits app provides direct access to live financial data and workflows across iPhone and iPad, enabling business owners to run their business in the moment, approving, paying, invoicing, and making decisions as things happen. Customers can also add a Digits widget to their home screen to check their financial position the moment they unlock their phone. The app maintains the same security protections as the Digits platform, including SOC 2 Type II compliance and end-to-end encryption, ensuring financial data remains secure across all devices. A Digits spokesperson, asked about an Android release, said the company is currently collecting demand signals to learn what percent of accountants/clients are using iOS vs Android.

Accounts receivable solutions provider Daylit launched its AI agents platform for accounts receivable (AR). Users connect it directly to their company's ERP, CRM, and communication channels in order to identify risk early, take action automatically, and improve visibility into cashflow. The platform flags accounts that show signs of delayed or missed payment, based on their history, communication patterns, and real-time signals; autonomously handles follow-ups across email, phone, and text by pulling in invoice history, documentation, and prior commitments to send accurate, context-aware outreach without manual intervention; and offers continuously updated cash flow projects that account for new payment data, communications, and customer behavior. Daylit's AI agents are available now.

Navan announces audit engine for fraud and bribery detection

Travel and expense platform Nava announced its new Audit Engine, an enterprise-grade transaction screening system with more than 45 configurable audit checks, including built-in Anti-Corruption and Bribery flags. The Navan platform, which already enforces its customers' travel and expense policies proactively, now can screen for a broader range of risk across transaction data, receipts, trips, and participants. The AI can detect, among many other things, instances of excessive tipping, the use of AI-generated fraudulent receipts, weekend spend, receipt amount mismatches, and prohibited items like alcohol and tobacco. The Audit Engine is now available for all Navan customers globally, and the new Anti-Corruption and Bribery check is currently in beta with plans for a full global rollout soon.

Dext launches timekeeping solution

AI-focused bookkeeping solutions provider Dext announced the launch of Time Spent, a new feature that gives users clear visibility into how their teams spend time across clients. Time Spent brings together multiple layers of insight into a single dashboard. The feature includes four key views: Practice Overview, a snapshot of how time is spent across the firm; Monthly Heat Map, a visual view of activity trends, highlighting busy and quiet periods; Client Activity, visibility into which clients require the most and least time; and User Activity, insight into individual team member workloads. Each view includes drill-downs into more detailed data. This allows accountants to do things like identify where time is being lost or concentrated, rebalance workloads across teams, spot clients that could benefit from further automation, support pricing and scope conversations with real data, and plan ahead for peak periods and reduce last-minute pressure. Time Spent is available now for accountants and bookkeepers on the Dext Advanced plan at no additional cost.
