Indianapolis (July 16, 2003) -- Crowe Group, the holding company of national accounting and consulting firm Crowe Chizek and Co., has acquired the remaining 50 percent of Lake Worth, Fla.-based financial consulting and outsourcing concern Carrier & Co. that it did not own.

Terms were not disclosed.

The two companies had initially entered into a joint venture agreement in July 2001 with Crowe Chizek acquiring a stake in the company. That same year, Crowe Chizek added its financial institutions and assurance consulting practice to the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.

The 19-year old Carrier & Co. provides internal audit, loan review, regulatory compliance and other related risk-management outsourcing and consulting services to roughly 150 financial institutions. Crowe Chizek said that all Carrier & Co. staff will be retained and continue to work out of the company's Lake Worth office.

Crowe Chizek ranked No. 13 on Accounting Today’s 2003 Top 100 firms list with annual revenues of about $205 million.
