Crowe Partner to Chair AICPA Ethics Committee

Crowe Horwath partner Wes Williams has been named chair of the Professional Ethics Executive Committee of the American Institute of CPAs.

The Professional Ethics Executive Committee, a senior technical committee of the AICPA, is responsible for establishing, interpreting and enforcing the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct. The committee helps the AICPA carry out its overall mission by promoting public awareness and confidence in the integrity, objectivity, competence and professionalism of AICPA members.

Williams has served on several AICPA national committees, including the Professional Ethics Executive Committee and several of its subcommittees and task forces, as well as the Joint Trial Board. He is a member of the AICPA and the Indiana CPA Society.

Williams is a partner in the South Bend office of Crowe Horwath LLP’s Assurance Professional Practice Group, which is the firm’s national office for audit and accounting matters.
