Kentucky firm Dean Dorton Allen Ford announced on Thursday that it is now accepting applications for its IGNITE Leadership Conference, a new two-day program aimed at teaching current accounting students

Held July 19-20, 2018, in Lexington, Ky., participating students will be offered a case study simulation, CPA exam preparation, to meet with Dean Dorton professionals, as well as an invitation to a social event in the city.

“We’re excited to offer such a robust program to the future leaders of the accounting profession,” said David Bundy, president and CEO of Dean Dorton, per a statement. “There's so much to learn as students begin to plan for their careers and set a course for success. At IGNITE, students will gain knowledge and leadership skills from hands-on activities, get to know some of the best and brightest young professionals in the accounting industry, hear from leaders in the field, and walk away with a deeper understanding of how they can become true business advisors and forge their unique individual career path.”

Minimum requirements for applicants include a 3.0 GPA, a general interest in public accounting, and on-campus activities and/or community service.
